Pension Plan Hearing3/22/2003
TO: All Local Lodge 1904 Members
Date: March 22, 2003
Please carefully read the letter you received from NWA dated March 19,
2003.
Along with this letter is a notice from the Department of Labor
announcing that a
public hearing will be held on NWA's proposed exemption involving our
pension plan. The hearing will be held in DC on May 5, 2003.
All of your letters sent to the Department of Labor regarding this
exemption have
had a impact on their decision making process. Now this is our chance
to be
heard!
During the coming week, our 1904 Executive Board will meet to review
this
letter and notice. If any member plans to attend the hearing, or has
comments to
be included in a presentation, please contact Dave Orlich, President;
Derrick
Miller, Vice-President; Mary Havey, Treasurer; Darlene Lalich,
Secretary; Dan
Kogler, Auditor; Heidi Anders, Auditor; Chris Nelson, Trustee; Tom
Bolz,
Trustee, or Tom Soczka, Trustee.
The deadline to request being heard is April 26, 2003. If any member
intends to
appear at this hearing, please know that our Board supports you 100%
and we
will do anything we can to help make your presentation a success.
